This piece comes from Walton's Five Bagatelles, written for Julian Bream and part of the standard 20th century guitar repertoire. It is like a slow waltz that never changes from its constant tonic-to-dominant alteration bass line, and the chords and melodies that are on top of it form the constant variation of the simple theme. There are some very tricky spots, including some of the runs and arpeggios, and the section with artificial harmonics for the melody over chords.
