'The Prince's Toys' is one of the more popular pieces of the late modern era for guitar, mixing new and different guitar techniques with Koshkin's unique tonality to create a vivid picture and tell a story. The first movement introduces us to the Prince, with a peek at some of the guitar techniques and sounds that will be utilized. There are some difficult runs and hard to finger chords, and most of the musicality will hinge on the dynamics and expression.
